Jermal Blanchard was raised in Memphis, TN where he attended White Station High School. Upon graduating high school Jermal attended University of Memphis. In 2011 Jermal graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in History with a focus in Middle Eastern studies.

In 2011 Jermal moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he attended Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school Jermal was a part of the Mock Trial team and spent his last year working in the Duval County Prosecutors office. After graduating in 2014 Jermal moved back to Tennessee and is currently residing in Nashville working for Clark and Washington.

Alise Hogan is an attorney at the Nashville office. Alise attended Western Kentucky University and graduated with a degree in Political Science and English. After graduation, she moved to North Carolina and attended Charlotte School of Law. During her time there, she volunteered over 100 hours to the Homelessness Prevention Project, a project committed to educating the underserved community about the eviction process and tenants’ rights. She also volunteered at Crisis Assistance Ministry, a non-profit organization that provides assistance for people in a financial crisis.

After graduation, Alise moved to Nashville. She began working at Clark & Washington after passing the Tennessee Bar Exam in 2015.

In her spare time, Alise enjoys running, volunteering for various organizations, and spending time with her family.

Attorney Aleece McKnight is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and she currently resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Having received her Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University, Aleece went on to receive her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, TX where she graduated with honors. While in law school, Aleece was a Student Ambassador, an Associate Editor of the Law Journal, the 3L Class President, in Moot Court, member of the Student Bar Association, a Civil Procedure tutor, among other things. Aleece has clerked for the Honorable Chancellor Walter Evans and has worked as a solo practitioner in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. Currently, Aleece works for Clark & Washington, LLC as a bankruptcy attorney handling both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. She is licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

In her free time, she enjoys dancing, cooking, planning events, traveling, as well as enjoying time with friends and family. Aleece is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Napier-Looby Bar Association, Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Napier-Looby Bar Foundation Board of Directors.

Nikol Richardson was born in South Carolina but lived in a number of different states growing up. She first moved to Chattanooga while in high school and now considers herself a full blown east Tennesseean. She graduated cum laude from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, with a major in English and minor in religion. While at Lee, she spent a semester at Henan University in Kaifeng, China, where she studied Chinese language, culture, and religion. Nikol went on to attend the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she achieved academic excellence in the areas of Literature and the Law and Advanced Consitutional Law. She was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2005 and is licensed to practice law in all state courts of Tennessee and the U.S. Federal Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

During her career as an attorney, Nikol has practiced family law, criminal defense, workers’ compensation, insurance defense, and consumer bankruptcy. She has had the pleasure of arguing before the Appellate Court of Tennessee, and she has written or contributed to a number of appellate briefs submitted to the Supreme Court of Tennessee and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Nikol lives in Gallatin, Tennessee with her husband, Kevin, her children, Christopher, Karis, and Kori, and their dog and cat, Mulder and Jack. Nikol loves spending time with her family, trying out new restaurants, reading, and playing trivia games.

Kimiya Sarayloo received her Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law, where she was a member of the Belmont Law Review, a Dean’s List honoree, and a recipient of the Best Performance Award for Wills and Trusts. During law school, Kimiya interned for the 20th Judicial District Attorney’s office, the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, and Belmont University’s Office of University Counsel. She also served as a research assistant to the Uniform Law Commission’s Committee to Revise the Unclaimed Property Act.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Clark & Washington, Kimiya practiced probate law and served as Guadian ad litem and Attorney ad litem for the Seventh Circuit Court in Davidson County, Tennessee. She also served as a part-time magistrate for Williamson County General Sessions Court. Kimiya is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.

Jodie Thresher has been with Clark & Washington since September, 2007. She is the managing attorney of the Nashville division of Clark & Washington, LLC. She is a Board Certified Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist.

She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Political Science and received her Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law.

Jodie is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Kentucky and is a member of the TN Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.
